FaxElite is fax software for the Apple Macintosh. This software is our single user fax software. A network version of FaxElite is also available.
This software is an evaluation version of FaxElite. It stamps the word "Evaluation" across each page of a sent fax and you will only be able to view the first page of each received fax.
We suggest you skip read this document before you install the software.
What do I need ?
FaxElite requires MacOS 7.1 or later. In order to use FaxElite, you also need a recent fax Class 1 modem or any Class 2 or Class 2.0 fax modem. Some examples of supported modems are any US Robotics modem produced in the last 3 years, the internal iMac, G3 or G4 modems, the Supra 56K V90, the Global Village Platinum 56K V90, or the 33.6K Global Village Platinum. In general we suggest people should opt to use a Class 2 or Class 2.0 modem if possible, in our experience they are more reliable. Please consult your dealer or fax or e-mail us if you need more information. Our fax number and e-mail address are at the end of this ReadMe.
Installation
Remove any other fax software from your Macintosh. Double click on the FaxElite Solo Installer and follow the instructions on screen. After the installation is complete you will find a folder called FaxElite on your hard disk which will contain the FaxElite Solo Software, a Quick Start Guide and a Manual in Acrobat pdf format. You should read through the Quick Start Guide.
